Every December the same thing happens. Everyone decides at once that what they really want is a box of warm stuffed cookies, and our final pre-Christmas dispatch day fills up. So here’s everything you need to get yours sorted early: the flavours that feel most festive, how to send them as gifts anywhere in the UK, and the dates you need to order by.
Last order dates for Christmas 2026
We bake to order and dispatch twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, by DPD next day delivery. That means the Christmas cut-offs work like this:
- For delivery before Christmas Day: order by Sunday 20 December. Your cookies are baked and dispatched on Tuesday 22 December for expected delivery on Wednesday 23 December.
- The safer option: order by Wednesday 16 December. Baked and dispatched Thursday 17 December, delivered Friday 18 December. That leaves a comfortable buffer for courier delays, and the cookies will still be well within their seven-day best before on Christmas Day.
- Collecting from Leicester: choose local pickup at checkout and pick a slot. Our last collection day before Christmas will be shown in the date picker.
There’s no delivery on Christmas Day or on the bank holidays either side of it, so please don’t leave it until the 23rd and hope. If you need a specific date, email help@dolliescookies.co.uk before you order and we’ll tell you honestly whether we can do it.
The most festive flavours in the lineup
We don’t do gingerbread men or traditional Christmas biscuits. We do big, soft, stuffed cookies that happen to taste like Christmas. These are the ones to look at first.
Milk Chocolate Orange
The chocolate orange that lives at the bottom of a stocking, in cookie form. If one flavour says December, it’s this one.
White Chocolate Cranberry
Sweet white chocolate against sharp cranberry. It’s also the cookie that looks the most like Christmas when you open the box, which matters when you’re giving them.
Biscoffinator
Cinnamon dough, caramelised Biscoff biscuit pieces, Valrhona Dulcey chocolate and a molten Biscoff spread centre. Spiced, warm and roughly what a mince pie wishes it could be.
Butterscotch Pecan and Oatmeal Scotchies
Both lean on butterscotch, which is the flavour of every toffee tin your nan ever owned. The pecan version is the one for people who like a bit of crunch.
S’mores
Marshmallow, chocolate, biscuit. Fireside in a cookie, no fire required. Ten seconds in the microwave and the marshmallow does exactly what you hope it will.
Keep an eye on the shop and our Instagram for any limited festive drops. Restock lands every Tuesday at 12pm and anything seasonal tends to go the same afternoon.
Sending Christmas cookies as a gift
Pick a one-flavour box of four, or Build A Box and mix four flavours for someone who can’t decide. Put their address in as the delivery address at checkout and the box goes straight to them, with a DPD one-hour slot on the day so they know when to expect it. If you’d like a message included, email us your order number and what you’d like it to say.
For the person who’s impossible to buy for, or if you’ve missed the last order date, an e-gift card from £10 arrives by email straight away and lets them pick their own box in January, when they’ll need it most. It’s the best answer we have for late Christmas presents.
Office, team or client gifts? That’s a bulk order, and the earlier you book it the better. Our corporate cookie gifts page explains how it works.
Making them last to Christmas Day
Our cookies keep for seven days at room temperature, so a box delivered on the 18th is still good on the 25th. For anything longer, freeze them. Most of our cookies freeze for up to six months. Order early, freeze the box, take it out on Christmas Eve to defrost at room temperature, then warm each cookie for ten seconds in the microwave (or five minutes in the oven at 180°C) before serving. Nobody will know, and if they do, they won’t care.
A few things to check before you order for someone else
All of our cookies are alcohol-free, which makes them a safe gift for anyone. Nearly all are vegetarian; M&M’s and Piñata aren’t, because they contain carmine. We have vegan flavours, clearly marked in the shop. None are gluten-free, and everything is baked in a kitchen that handles nuts, so check the allergen list on the product page if you’re buying for someone with an allergy.
In short
Order by Sunday 20 December for the final pre-Christmas delivery, or by Wednesday 16 December if you’d rather not cut it fine. Freeze them if you’re organised. Warm them before you eat them. Have a good one.
